Help Get Scooter Around the World in 80 Days!
Enter our Photo Competition and help Scooter the fused glass Penguin get as many places ticked off his ‘exploring the world’ bucket list as possible in the next 80 days.
He has already set off on his adventures, and has been spotted on a plane and in a mysterious secret location we believe to be somewhere in France.
He needs your help, however, as he doesn’t think he can make it everywhere he wants to go to in such a short space of time! It’s your job to get him around the world by entering your photos in this competition with an amazing prize!
The Photo Competition In a Nutshell
- Take a photo of Scooter in a location or at an event
- Upload your photo to social media
- Add required hashtags, tags, and location
- Be entered into a competition draw
- Be in with a chance to win a prize worth €500!

- Drumroll, please! The winner gets their hands on a jaw-dropping photo competition prize worth €500!
- You can redeem this prize in a number of ways:
- Pop into our shop in Clifden, and check out our fabulous collection of glass gifts and art. From cute and quirky ornaments to eye-catching wall panels, we’ve got it all! No matter how you choose to spend your prize (on several smaller items or in one splurge), €500 will be deducted from your bill at the till
- Can’t make it to the shop? No worries! Hop online to connemarablue.com and browse our selection of glass goodies. Enter a code at the checkout and €500 will be automatically deducted. Please check shipping details below
- Feeling adventurous? Opt for a custom-made art piece just for you. We’ll team up to design something totally unique to suit your budget. You can keep to €500 or put it towards a larger or more complex piece (Terms and Conditions apply)
How to take part
- Grab Scooter: Get your hands on one of our adorable fused glass penguin Scooter decorations. They’re cute, they’re cool, and they’re ready to hit the road! No purchase necessary – get creative and make your own Scooter from cardboard or whatever medium takes your fancy
- Say Cheese: Take a killer photo of Scooter in front of a location anywhere in the world. Whether it’s a bustling city, a chilled beach, a breath-taking mountain range, or your back garden, let your creativity soar!
- Share the Love: Spread the Scooter fever by posting your masterpiece on Facebook or Instagram. Remember, it’s got to be a post, not a story
- Hashtag: Make sure to use #scootergoesglobal and #connemarablueclifden in your post. Let the world know you’re in it to win it!
- Tag: Tag @connemarablueclifden AND two friends who are just as wild about adventures and art as you are. They’ll thank you later!
- Drop the Location: Tell us where Scooter’s awesome photo was taken. Show off where you’ve been!
Terms and Conditions
- Your photo competition entry will only count if it meets all the requirements
- The competition runs until midnight September 24th, 2023
- You have to be 18 or over to enter
- Please read the shipping info as we cannot ship to some locations
- The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and has no monetary value. No change will be given for purchases amounting to less than €500
- The €500 prize must be redeemed in one transaction. If you spend more than €500, you only pay the difference
- The winner will be drawn at random and no correspondence relating to the draw will be entered into
- The winner will be notified by social media platforms
- There is no limit on the number of entries per participant, provided that each picture is posted separately
- If the winner is not contactable within 72 hours of the draw, the winner is deemed to have forfeited the prize and another winner will be drawn. The same condition will apply to any subsequent entry or entries drawn
- In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, errors, or the results of the competition, the decision of Connemara Blue will be final
- Connemara Blue reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If we do this we will publish the amended draw/competition rules here

- Shipping within Ireland is free for the winner
- A winner outside Ireland is responsible for shipping costs
- Unfortunately, we don’t ship to Australia and New Zealand
